The Purpose of Our Baskets

The Rise IPL C.A.R.E. Basket program offers a unique opportunity for education institutions, corporations, and small businesses to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Through this initiative, organizations can host C.A.R.E. Basket preparation events at their facilities, collaborating with Rise IPL and their team or students to assemble care packages filled with essential items such as hygiene products, toiletries, school supplies, socks, blankets, and sanitary napkins. Once assembled, these care packages are distributed to local area shelters, nursing homes, Title One impoverished community schools, hospitals, and other organizations serving vulnerable populations.

Share To C.A.R.E. Service Projects

Share To C.A.R.E. is a build-a-basket service project and Rise IPL provides all of the necessary supplies. Students actively participate in packing the baskets with a combination of essentials, comfort items, and other resources and personalizing Future-Preneur greeting cards for the recipients. Each Share To C.A.R.E. Basket and the cards are distributed to shelters and children in need worldwide.

Make a Difference

Baskets and cards are distributed, leaving a positive impact on the students, shelters, and the communities. Students experience the joy of giving, learn about leadership, earn volunteer hours, and receive a Certificate for Completion.

Certificate for Completion

Each participant receives a Future-Preneur Certificate of Completion for their commitment to the course work and community service. The certificate signifies their dedication to making a difference in the world and developing their leadership skills.

On-The-Spot Volunteer Hours

Students earn volunteer hours instantly for participating in a Share To C.A.R.E. service project.A tangible way for youth to positively impact their community and receive required volunteer hours.

Who We Serve

RiseIPL’s CARE Baskets program is dedicated to serving a diverse range of individuals in vulnerable situations, including:

  • Children: Providing essentials for children ensures they have a strong foundation for their physical and emotional well-being.

  • Adults: Our baskets assist adults facing various challenges, such as homelessness or financial hardship, by offering practical support.

  • Individuals in Re-Entry: For those returning to society after incarceration, our program offers a helping hand in rebuilding their lives.

  • The Elderly: We recognize the unique needs of our elderly community members and tailor baskets to provide comfort and care.
